What Love is This?

There is a widespread belief that there are only two ways of Christian thought, Calvinism or Arminianism, of which we are neither. Calvinism believes that God picks and chooses people to go to heaven or hell. Arminianism believes people have a free will and can choose to be saved, and then they can decide not to be saved. We are biblicists because the Bible says that man has the free will to accept Christ, but once he is saved, he is sealed and cannot ever lose his salvation.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

These verses are a small sample of all the verses that declare whosoever. God gives an open invitation to the world to receive Jesus Christ as Saviour.
John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

danger of Calvinism is that it causes Christians to stop having a burden for their family and makes them unfruitful. It also causes many to become prideful for being one of God's elite, one of the "chosen ones". James 4:6

danger of Arminianism is that it causes Christians to live in fear of losing their salvation. Ephesians 4:30

I pray for each of these groups that they will come to the truth of the word of God. For more, you can also see my post, "
